What are we doing for sustainability?
Sustainability is an important theme within our company. But what does it actually mean? According to the definition, sustainability is about products and processes that are “meant to last long,” are “relatively environmentally friendly,” and save resources. It refers to ways of producing that minimize the impact on the environment and nature as much as possible.
With this definition in mind, as a small, starting company, we’ve critically looked at how we can contribute to a healthier planet. This wasn’t an easy path, but sustainability has played a central role in all our business decisions.
Are we perfect? Absolutely not. We also see areas for improvement and continue to work towards a more sustainable future. What we can promise you is that we take steps every day to further reduce our impact on the environment. Our ultimate goal? To be as sustainable as possible with all our products.
Our approach
The first step was the material. Our products are made of nylon, a lightweight, strong, and durable material that lasts long and doesn’t tear easily. This contributes to the longevity of our products.
Additionally, we use a TPU coating instead of PVC. TPU is not only much more durable but also less harmful to the environment. Although TPU coating is more expensive, we find it a valuable investment in quality and sustainability.
We also make conscious choices in our logistics. Our products are produced in two different factories: one for the model itself and one for the power bank. Previously, the products had to travel a long distance between the factories. After intensive searching, we found two factories that are closer together, which significantly reduces the use of fossil fuels. Moreover, we always order full containers, so no unnecessary energy is wasted on half-empty transports.
